As future concert dates are announced, we will
release details of all major performances on our CONCERTS page.
In 2023 MUCS will perform a number of concerts in May and June featuring great music performed at English Coronation Ceremonies over the last 500 years by the likes of Handel, Parry, Wood, Elgar, Wesley, Stanford, Tallis, Byrd, Gibbons and Vaughan Williams. Other concerts are planned for August (hosted by the Australian National Choral Association) and September (in collaboration with Box Hill Chorale and the National Boys Choir of Australia), and December (including three large "Carols in the Cathedral concerts in St Paul's Cathedral with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic). The 2023 season will conclude with the traditional Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve at St John's Anglicabn Church, Toorak with Majestic Brass and organist Christopher Cook.
Our 2024 rehearsals will re-commence in early February, and our first major concert of 2024 will take place in Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday 19 May 2024, when MUCS will perform a large-scale symphonic concert featuring Carl Orff's spectacular Carmina Burana and Carl Vine's epic Choral Symphony No. 6, with the Royal Melbourne Philharmonic Choir and Orchestra, and the National Boys Choir of Australia.
MUCS have also announced exciting plans to tour to the United Kingdom in January 2025 (England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland), and you can sign up for more information about the tour HERE.
